Meet the Founder

Jayanthi Bommana

Yoga and lifestyle mentor. Founder of Aanandham. Mother of two, based in the UK — and on a decade-long mission to bring holistic wellness practices to as many people as possible.

Jayanthi Bommana

I was introduced to Yoga when I was 17 years old. I have been practising — with breaks along the way — but could always see a lot of benefits: more energy, more happiness, natural deliveries with both my children, and recovery from the back pains that followed.

I came back to Yoga when I was overweight. That journey paved the way for my own healing: the practice itself, healthy eating, a positive mindset and a joyful approach to daily life. It inspired me to take up Yoga Instructor certification, Nutrition & Lifestyle Mentoring and a number of natural self-healing courses. Those reversed my own health issues — and changed my life. Since then I've been striving to share these holistic lifestyle practices with as many people as I can reach.

My story

I am a mother of two children, living with my husband in the UK, and have been involved in charity work relating to health and well-being for more than ten years now.

Eighteen months after my second delivery I was over 75 kg, cylindrical in appearance, and struggled immensely to lose weight. I tried a variety of harsh diets — losing 4 to 5 kg, then putting it all back on the moment I stopped. I thought I would never reach the weight I wished for.

Then I came back to my regular Yoga practice, which I had suspended through pregnancy, alongside a few changes in diet — wholesome, plant-based foods. The weight came off gradually and consistently: 10 kg in three months. People noticed, and started asking me for tips. I shared what I had changed about my lifestyle, and it worked for them too.

Motivated by what was happening, I made more healthy plant-based choices and reached 55 kg without much effort. But although my weight held, I started developing severe Vitamin B12 deficiency, Vitamin D deficiency, anaemia, bloating, flatulence, muscle spasms, chronic fatigue and low energy. I began to look unwell.

Friends and family noticed and asked. I did not want to continue that way, so I looked for solutions. I tried a variety of natural treatment plans, understood the mistakes I had been making, and started correcting them. Soon the change came. I began to understand the amazing capability of the body to reset itself when given some care and time.

Becoming a mentor

I saw many people struggling with similar conditions and started sharing more. An intense urge to help others led me to take certification courses in Yoga, meditation, emotional healing and nutrition; to study the science and research behind natural lifestyle practices; and to take a lifestyle mentorship certification programme — which gave me the confidence to help others effectively.

With a strong desire to reach people across the globe and produce breakthrough results with hand-holding support, I designed the Life Transformation Programme — an all-in-one solution. I am continually fascinated by the tremendous results participants produce when they let the body adapt simple, natural techniques. I am confident that, given the opportunity and proper nurturing, our body can heal almost anything — and I cannot wait to share that with you.
